Iceland leads the world in harnessing energy from clean and inexpensive sources. In a single generation, the country transformed its energy system from one based on coal and oil to one supplied almost entirely from sustainable resources such as geothermal.

In the United States, the world’s largest energy consumer, there is swelling demand for clean energy, but the enormous potential of geothermal remains unrealized and largely untapped.

IGE intends to spur the extensive use of clean and inexpensive energy in North America by investing in and promoting the development of geothermal energy solutions in the Western United States and Canada.
